Insert an iframe on a website

You have the possibility to insert a track, a chart time or a multi-track map as an iframe on your website

1. Create an iframe

  • Go to your User Page, in the tab "My iframes"

  • Select one of the buttons "new iframe" according to your needs: single track, chart time or map

  • Fill in the elements of the field that opens

  • Once validated, your iframe will be accessible in the tab "My iframe", click on the  button to get the html code

2. Update your iframe
Tips for pro / organizer

Even easier with the new version of the Trace de Trail website!

Once you've embedded the HTML iframe code on your website to display your race routes—don’t touch it again!

From one year to the next, to update the routes for the new edition, simply refresh the iframe:

  • Go to your User Area under the My iframes section
  • Click to edit the desired iframe
  • Replace the old route/map ID with the new one
  • And that’s it!

The update made on Trace de Trail will automatically be reflected on your website!

3. Single track iframe

The Iframe trace feature is available to all Trace de Trail members.

The iframe trace displays the route with a customisable default map background and profile, all in an interactive format.

Iframe customisation options Premium only

  • Change the colour of the interface and the trace so that the iframe matches the colours of your event!
  • Choose the maps you want to make available to users in display mode
  • Remember to set a reasonable distance for your kilometre markers (especially on long routes to avoid overloading the map!)

Adding a border around your trace makes it stand out more!

4. Time chart iframe

1. Before creating an iframe Time chart, you must create your time charte (logical)!

Everything happens on your tracks, in the Points of Interest section. Activate the display in the table, add categories to create tags, indicate the time barriers for competition courses... Find detailed help here.

2. To create the iframe itself Premium only
Go to the My iframe section as explained above. It's even easier than for the track and can be done in just a few clicks. Just remember to customise the colour of the interface to match your event's colours.

5. Map iframe
Premium only

1. Same as for the Passage Table iframe, before creating a Map iframe, you must have prepared your Map.

A detailed tutorial on how to do this is already available here.

2. The input module for creating the map iframe is simple. You can easily customise the colour of the interface and the maps available for the user to display. All aspects of the appearance of tracks, profiles, etc. are configured when creating the map.
