Prepare your passage tables and estimate the times of passage for the runners

In this section you will find all the useful functions for preparing your passage tables and estimating race times on your competition courses:

1. Create a time chart

Trace de Trail offers you the possibility of creating time charts.

These tables are generated automatically from your tracks and the points of interest you choose to display in the time charts. This gives you the distance and altitude difference between the starting point and each point on the route (feed stations, summits, etc.), as well as the distance and altitude difference between each point.

How to create a time chart?

When adding points of interest to your route, select the category(ies) of your point and then tick  Display in table

Please note ! When you select time barrier category, a window appears to allow you to enter the date and time of the cutoff

Where can I view the time chart?

The time chart can be viewed directly on your route page, under photos and descriptions.

When you click on a point in the chart, your position is zoomed directly onto the associated point of interest on the map.

2. Print the times table

Once you have created your crossings table and filled in all the crossing points, you can print it out directly by exporting it in PDF format.
To do this :

- From your competition course page, click on " times table ", above the table of crossings for your competition course.
- At the top of the page, click on " Download PDF file "

You now have your passage table, formatted and ready to print.

3. Estimate the runners passage times
Premium Pro subscribers

Thanks to Trace de Trail's "Times table" tool, you can estimate the runners' race and passage times from the passage table of your race in just a few steps:

- On the route page, click on « times table  »
- Then click on the «  configuring times table » button and enter the values for the first and last runners.
- Enter the start time if this is missing
- Click on «  Refresh times table »
- You can choose a passage time value in hours or in duration.

Thanks to this tool, you know the passage times of the first and last runners at all the points entered in your passage table: no need to calculate!

You can then save your passage table for future reference. You can also download it as a CSV file and then open it in an Excel table.
Finally, you can download it as a PDF file.

Passage times are calculated using default coefficients that you can modify by clicking on «  Advanced calculation parameters »
