The Sandstone Way North Ultra 2016 offers runners an opportunity to run the first 70 miles of this brand new 120 mile Way Marked Trail. The Sandstone Way route runs from the very top to to the heart of Northumberland. Starting in Berwick Upon Tweed and finishing in Rothbury, this section of the course is very runnable. The Sandstone Way has been developed as a Mountain Bike trail that is designed to be ridden in three to four days or 2 days by the “fit and fast.” If ever there was a statement to get an ultra runner going then that is surely it.
