The Association of Women of Megali Panagia organizes every year since 2013 the mountain running race "Xeskouriazo" on Mountain Kakavos, in Megali Panagia, Halkidiki. The race is dedicated to the fight against gold-copper mining that threatens the mountain, the waters, the lives of the residents of Halkidiki, and the wider area.
