Haere mai! Welcome to the Tarawera Ultramarathon, New Zealand’s most prestigious ultramarathon. Part of the Ultra-Trail World Tour. Runners can complete the 102, 87km, 62km distances or relays. The course is from Rotorua to Kawerau in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. There are five lakes, forests waterfalls and some of the most stunning scenery in the world. The spectacular course runs through places of cultural significance to local Maori people. Around 1400 participants with more than 700 international athletes will compete.
