From the starting point of Trail 1 near the Radisson Blue Hotel, cross Boulevard Jean Hibert and go along the narrow Impasse Galeotti, leading to Rue Georges Clemenceau. Cross the street and you arrive at the Tower steps. Turn left onto the cobblestoned Rue Louis Perrissol, then right into Rue de la Castre as far as the rampart steps, where you can enjoy a unique panorama over the old port of Cannes.
Turn left into the Traverse de la Tour and right to leave the district of Le Suquet along Rue des Suisses, crossing the expressway over the bridge of the same name. Go up Rue des Suisses as far as Place Stanislas and then take the Continental steps across Rue Guy de Maupassant and you arrive in Rue du Lac.
Turn left into Rue du Lac and right into Boulevard du Moulin before continuing over Saint-Victor Bridge to reach Boulevard Lord Brougham (<-> liaison with Trail 7). Continue up Boulevard Lord Brougham as far as Square Marcel Pagnol, the end of Trail 8 and connecting point with Trail 10 (Croix-des-Gardes).
