parcours

This route which takes up routes 1 and 2 leaving from Savigny in Sancerre will take you to the Fait des Marnes with panoramas over the Pays-Fort, the Sancerrois and the Loire Valley as far as the Morvan. Sunken paths appear as soon as you leave the village, then follow paths under the woods and at the edge of meadows up to Beaufou. There you will take a path lined with hedges to the village of Assigny. At the exit of the village a path followed by a bridleway goes up to the summit.

A break at the orientation table is necessary. The descent takes place via charming hamlets: Les Berruées d'en Haut followed by Les Berruées d'en bas, Bissiols d'en bas and Bissiols d'en Haut! La Foltière and Feulard with its Chavignol producing farms. A break at the Grand Rozin communal pond is a welcome option. Past the Ford of the Marcherie, at the end of the woods, a landscape of natural meadows awaits you, suitable for breeding goats, cows and horses. You reach the welcoming village of Boulleret via the botanical trail and the Fontaine Saint Martin washhouse.

Direction the Bois des Bouloises and the village of Houards and a ford to access them. Before returning to Savigny and the Bois des Chênes you will discover the Château de Vilatte built from the 16th century, its dovecote and its mill.
