Add points of interest
The points of interest (PI) can be added once the route and the profile have been created, in “modify a track” mode (on the route page, click on Actions", then "Modify the track ").
Once on the modification page, open the editing tools' side panel, click on “Add a PI” and click on the position where you want to add it (your cursor is “magnetised” to your track) to open this window:
Note ! So as to be able to add a PI easily on a tablet or smartphone, use the tool “Add a PI in tactile mode” !
You will be able to define the different ways of posting your points of interest :
On the map
You have the choice of two types of points of interest :
- icons which can be placed individually or in groups of 2 or 3. These icons are chosen from a predefined list.
- labels, for which you must choose the text and its shape.
In popups
Popups are displayed when you click on a PI. You can have a title, content and/or an image which will be resized.
On the profile
You can choose whether to post, or not, your PI on your profile. The position of the PI on the profile will be calculated automatically in relation to the nearest point on your track. Think about writing a short text which you fits on to two lines with the insertion of <br/> to mark the line break.
In the table of passage
Your route's table of passage only contains, by default, the start and finish point of the route. If you choose to post a PI in the passage table, the latter represents an intermediary point for which you will have the distance and ascent/descent data. The table of passage is posted on your track's page in the section “description”.

Once your point of interest has been added, it is automatically saved. You can modify it at any moment to come, by selecting the tool “Modify a PI”, or delete it with the tool “Delete a PI”.
Your PI can equally be moved with the tool “Move a PI”. Once the tool has been chosen, the PIs appear in the form of blue circles. Click on one of the circles and move it to its new position. Click anywhere on the map or again on the tool to validate this move.
