Start the DéfiTrail challenge at the start of the Fauchère (km 0.7) if you want to time on this climb and compare yourself with other trailers!

As you climb higher, the summits are unveiled in an exceptional setting: The Teeth of Veisivi (the great alt.3418m and the small alt.3184m) above the village of Les Haudères; The Pigne d'Arolla (alt 3712m) to its right, at the bottom of the valley of Arolla; And La Dent Blanche (alt. 4357m) to its left, dominating the Ferpècle glacier.
Arriving at the Mayens de Cotter, the climb gives way to 5 km of paths and trails in line of crests until Mayens de Bréona. During this crossing, you will discover typical alpine hamlets, made up of magnificent traditional chalets with roofs of Lauzes, testifying to the pastoral history of the valley. Arriving at the Mayens de Bréona, enjoy the exceptional view of the Dent Blanche before descending to the villages of La Forclaz and Les Haudères where you will be greeted by the sound of the famous Hérens cows, recognizable by their black robes. Then, you will have to carry 4 small kilometers in the bottom of valley, along La Borgne, to return to Evolène.
